Faith, Hope, and Singing in the Gym.

I jumped on the treadmill and began walking.  I looked to the left of me and then to the right…the cost was clear… “THY .WILL. BE. DONE…THY. WILL. BE .DONE!”

Yes, I put on a concert for the nearby weights and ellipticals around me…

not ashamed:)

As I began to sing, I began to pray.

I felt like the Lord was promising me a gift that I so dearly wanted, but it seemed to good to be true, and impossible. I wasn’t trusting Him. I felt like it was all a trick…SAD BUT TRUE.    The Lord clearly spoke to me in that moment and said,

“Am I not big enough?”, I replied back “No…you are big enough, but Im so scared of being disappointed.”  God then said, “Am I a God of disappointment?”

My heart bursted with relief, and I said, “No you are not a God of disappointment…you are a good Father.”    I was then reminded of Jeremiah 29:11

“For I know the plans I have for you, they are to prosper you and not to harm you. They are plans to give you a hope and a future.”

Jeremiah 17:7 also came to mind right after and it says,

“But blessed are those who trust in the Lord. And have made the Lord their hope and confidence.”

The beauty in Hope is the it is the substance of faith {HEBREWS 11:1} and without faith you cannot please God { HEBREWS 11:6}, so it is ok to hope and stand in faith, it is accepted!

I can honestly say that I am blessed beyond measure to have a family, who had faith in my upcoming season…more than I did.  The support is beautiful!  Like the bible say’s in Matthew 18:20 ” When two or more are gathers in my name, I am with them.”

So in this next chapter of my life, I will stand in faith, and watch the seemingly impossible become possible.  I will worship the Lord and carry this seed to full term! I will pray instead of think, and I will praise instead of plan and over analyze… like i so want to do. lol.

1 peter 5:7 says, ” Caste your cares upon the Lord for He cares for you.”

Hebrews 6:19, ” We have this hope as an anchor for our souls.”

I pray this has inspired you in your walk of faith:)
